Does sport teach us values?
In pairs, choose a sportsperson or sports team that you believe represents strong values. Create a photoessay (using google slides) informing your audience about how your person/team represents strong values. You will need to do some research on your topic and search for images that best represent your ideas. Add your essay to your dropbox (everyone should have a link in their dropbox).
Make sure that you follow the basic essay structure:
Sample photoessay: The wide world of weird sports
- Introduction- Clear thesis (focus).
- Body- Select at least 3 images that support your thesis. Think of these as body paragraphs. Provide a written description of how each image represents the values of your person/team. You also need to give each image a caption which will help explain why it was selected.
- Conclusion - support the thesis and examine its implications and significance.
- MLA citations (for information and images)
Once you have finished, present your essay to another group. Give each other feedback on essay structure and image choice (do the images encapsulate the message of the paragraph).
