Review summative task and timeline

Look over your formative feedback. Using the teacher comments, write what each standard should look like for this task (Summative Proposal in dropbox).

Present your photoessay from last class to another group. Give each other feedback on essay structure and image choice (do the images encapsulate the message of the paragraph).

Read The Education of Alex Rodriguez (until NO ONE CAN...).

In pairs:

1. Discuss image selection and how it adds to the text. 
2. Select a passage that demonstrates sophisticated language and style (according the the rubric below). What literary techniques have been used to enhance writing? Be ready to share your passage and findings with class.

Next class, you will have the opportunity to develop your writing skills by reporting on a sporting event. Those at school will report on IASAS Swimming and those absent will report on their event. Choose an individual, team or specific event to write a descriptive informative paragraph. You will receive feedback on cohesion and language and style from the Informative Rubric.
