Write your argumentative essay on the theme of identity, gender and worth in sports. Your essay is due at the END of Thursday's class (April 20). Please submit your completed essay to turnitin.com. You will be graded using the Argumentative Rubric (no internal feedback will be given).
Your essay should be 2-3 pages in length and include the following:
- A compelling argument/thesis
- Supporting arguments and a counterargument (explained with evidence and refuted)
- Evidence to strengthen your arguments
- Analysis of how the evidence/arguments support your thesis
- Effective introduction, transitions, and thought-provoking conclusion
- Subtle rhetorical techniques to persuade your reader
